ICE PICK SCARS: TCA CROSS is an amazing option for patients with ice pick scars which are tiny little acne scars that look like enlarged pores. This treatment entails Rayanne & Dr. Atoot placing an extremely strong peeling solution directly into to scar creating purposeful damage and stimulating collagen and build the skin up inside the scar and lift the tissue to even the skin texture out. This treatment is safe for all skin tones but Rayanne recommended prepping darker skin types. Consultation is extremely important to ensure that the treatment is right for you and the correct prep is done to ensure the best results. BOXCAR SCARS: Rayanne & Dr. Atoot likes a multi-modal approach to treating boxcar scars. These scars look like someone took a hole puncher and made little oval depressions in your skin. Rayanne likes to treat boxcar scars with microneedling to help increase collagen in superficial and deeper layers of the skin and fern technique with filler. This is a very advanced technique where we can use filler extremely superficially to actually create a scaffold to strengthen and support the skin. ROLLING SCARS: Rolling acne scars are the most complex type of acne scars and also need be treated with a multi modal approach. Rolling acne scars are when the skin does not look even with slopes, bumps, and divots with unclear edges. Rayanne likes to start treatment of these scars with something called subcision which is when she uses a blunt needle to detach the layers of skin that are scarred together releasing the skin to be able to be plumped with other treatments. This untethering is extremely important in the effective treatment of these scars. Rayanne may recommend subcising with PRF, hyperdilute radiesse, or exosomes which are all extremely effective at stimulating collagen and elastin for even more effectiveness depending on your specific case. Rayanne usually then recommends microneedling, dermal fillers with both volumizing and fern technique, and potentially a very specific laser regimen with her referrals. Rayanne’s signature acne scar treatment in New Jersey utilizes Sculptra to subcise the acne scars to release the adhesions causing rolling acne scars. This process has been done with saline in the past but by using diluted Sculptra, Rayanne is able to also stimulate collagen to plump the skin at the same time. Rayanne then layers SkinVive very superficially to plump the scars completely. This combination creates smooth, even skin in 8-10 weeks after treatment.

Treating the areas immediately next to the nostril, using the fern technique in the lines, and placing different density fillers in different planes in this area creates a natural results which address all aspects of the folds.

Tear trough filler can be used to plump the under eye area in patients that truly have hollowing under the eyes. Under eye filler works beautifully in the right patient to brighten up the shadows and smooth the area below the lower eyelid. Rayanne & Dr. Atoot highly recommended first ensuring that the cheeks and mid face are adequately supported before treating the under eye area. There are risks involved with under eye filler which include migration and worsening of puffiness around the eyes in the wrong candidate. Rayanne recommends considering PRF EZ Gel treatment if you are not a candidate for under eye filler. Consultation is important when considering tear trough filler because not everyone is a candidate and there may be other options available that work for you.

This is an extremely high risk area that needs to be addressed cautiously by a highly experienced provider. We can actually use filler to reshape the curves on our forehead that can cause flatten as we age. This will also help left the brows resulting in a very subtle, youthful appearance.

As we age, we start to lose volume in the temples. The temple fat pads are areas of support for the eyebrows and forehead areas and when we lose that volume, we can see sagging and laxity in the upper eyelids and brows.
